Jessica has graduated from Medical School in Guadalajara Mexico and is beginning the process of applying for her residency program. Due to changes with AMA regulations she is not sure whether she will complete her residency in Mexico, New York, or Puerto Rico. Jessica plans on returning to Belen and practicing medicine with the family when she has completed her residency. Jessica continues help with our cattle marketing in Mexico.
Alicia is the owner of a multi-state Independent Insurance Agency with offices in New Mexico and Texas. Her company specializes in Commercial, Home, Auto, Life, and Farm and Ranch insurance. She was appointed by Governor Susana Martinez to the New Mexico Beef Council where she currently serves as the Secretary. She also is a member of the International Committee for Santa Gertrudis Breeders International.
Adolfo is very active in the cattle and farming operation and serves on the performance committee for Santa Gertrudis Breeders International. He is very much involved in the Red Doc calf buyback program and creating commercial industry ties for our customers to enhance their value in Red Doc sired calves. He works on research and development of Red Doc cattle including carcass data collection with West Texas A&M University and ongoing genetic evaluation of the bull program. He is involved with the selection and management of Red Doc’s “High Desert Composite Cattle”. Adolfo tries to stay involved in the mainstream beef industry attending several beef conferences. He is also involved with other red hided breeders including the performance oriented American Shorthorn Breeders. He is also a full-time rural family medicine doctor where he practices with his father Dr. Roland Sanchez.
Roland “Scooter” graduated and completed his Dental residency at the University of Colorado and returned to open his private practice, Conquistador Dental, in Belen, New Mexico in the fall of 2010. Shortly after moving home, he met and married his wife Valerie Sanchez. They together manage their dental practice which focuses on oral surgery, cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Scooter continues to manage the registered operation and the Red Hot Bull Sale. Roland and Valerie are expecting their first child in early part of 2014.
Florian and Stephanie have recently opened Yucca Veterinary Medical Center in Belen, NM. The practice offers an array of services for both small and large animals. Florian & Stephanie enjoy all the aspects of the clinic but they have grown significantly in the area of equine medicine, primarily for podiatry, lameness, and therapeutic shoeing. The veterinary clinic also monitors and implements best practices to oversee our herd heath management and ET program at Red Doc Farm. Currently Florian and Stephanie are building a station for export of live cattle as well as equine to foreign markets.
Emilio is the youngest of six and has currently taken a management position in field operations for Oryx Oil Field Services in Midland, Texas. Emilio graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Animal Science. Emilio also overlooks our source-verified program, feedlot management and commercial herd in New Mexico. Emilio and Ronda Sinclair are engaged and they are planning their wedding for Spring 2014.
